About The Artist
Karen Ande is a San Francisco-based documentary photographer. Her work focuses on the well-being of children, and has taken her to sub-Saharan Africa, Nepal, El Salvador as well as rural Alaska. She sometimes turns her camera to her immediate surroundings, looking for moments when light and composition fall into place, setting small pieces of the world on fire.
