About The Artist
I view photography as a way of speaking without using words. My educational background is in literature, though my Ph.D. was nominally in politics and American Studies. I run two literature groups, both of which are more than 25 years old, a long time to be talking about books with mainly the same readers. When words can enhance a photograph -- or give it focus, if you will -- the pleasure for me as a photographer is compounded.
